Pinhole Pic
This was taken with a commercially made 0.029 mm film pinhole body cap (from Eric Renner's Pinhole Resource). Still blurry, but interesting.

Lensless Photo
In honor of Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day I decided to create a pinhole 'lens' for my Canon 20D, following instructions on the Czech website: http://www.pinhole.cz/en/. Here's my first result.I made the pinhole from an aluminum soda can, which I cut up. I made a hole with a fine needle. I taped the aluminum patch to the outside of the body cap, into which I had previously drilled a small hole.
With my camera on a tripod, a cable release, and exposure mode set at manual, I took shots at ISO 400 and various shutter speeds - from 1/10 sec to 1/30 sec outside. No viewfinder, no focus. I gauged exposure after the fact by checking the histogram.
Most of the images were blurry, like the one above. I think I need to get a smaller pinhole in order to improve sharpness. Will try some of the commercial pinhole sites.
It is fun discovering that you can take a photo without a lens. Stay tuned.
Suggestions are welcome.
